Unlike conventional prosthetic veneer applications for the correction of color and deformities in the teeth, they are aesthetic applications prepared with 0.3-0.5 mm abrasion only on the front surface of the teeth, instead of touching the teeth (prepless) or reducing the entire tooth when necessary. Since they are very thin and do not contain metal, they reflect light perfectly and provide a very natural appearance and give very successful results aesthetically. After the impression, after the thin porcelain layer prepared in the laboratory is brought to the desired color and shape, it is adhered to the front surface of the tooth in approximately 9-12 days. If necessary, the process is supported by temporary tooth applications. This treatment is the most protective prosthesis application as very little tissue is removed from the teeth. However, careful use of the patient is very important because they are very sensitive and high quality works. If the rules are followed in use, it is long-lasting, tissue-friendly and does not color.  Since it is made one by one, the patient can easily use dental floss. If there are any problems in the teeth in the future, all kinds of treatment (filling, root canal treatment, etc.) can be applied from the back surface without the need to remove the laminate veneers.

How is it done ?

Lamina is an aesthetic application. It gives excellent results when it is done carefully with quality materials like every aesthetic process. Otherwise, there will be difficult results to compensate. The doctor who will apply the laminate should definitely be asked the previous cases. If you are confident and determined; It starts with taking pictures first. After the first measurements are taken, the 3D design of the teeth with the ceramist is done. In the 2nd appointment, this 3D design (wax-up) is applied in the mouth of the patient. The teeth can be shown to the patient without any action yet. The result shoudn’t be a surprise.

During the Laminate Veener application, the tooth structure of the patient is first examined. A mock-up is made in terms of the size and shape of the tooth that looks suitable for the patient. Thus, the patient and the physician will be able to make changes and shape the final state in this session before the actual product arrives. If the patient and the physician are satisfied with the final image, the laboratory stage is started for the actual product and the leaf porcelains are prepared in the same size and shape. The incoming leaf porcelains are adhered to the tooth surfaces with special adhesives without needles.

Thanks to the quality of the adhesive material and the very thin lamina, the possibility of porcelain laminates to fall off is very low. After the procedure, the patient should not strain his teeth by paying attention to certain criteria. As a result of the procedure, the person has a wonderful smile.
